Montessori Learning
Our Early Years programme incorporates the Montessori approach for part of the day. Through hands-on materials and practical activities, children develop key early skills including language, sensory awareness, problem-solving and fine motor development.
The Montessori approach also aligns with Aistear, Ireland’s Early Childhood Curriculum Framework, supporting children’s development through exploration and learning within their natural environment.
Our classroom includes flexible learning areas such as the home corner, library area, nature table, messy play and art area.
We also have five Montessori shelves which are updated as children progress: Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Maths and Cultural. These contain carefully selected materials that support children’s development across a range of learning areas.
